In Kate Hamill's 2017 adaptation of Jane Austen's 1813 classic, the familiar characters of the Bennet Family, Mr. Darcy et al. remain fully intact, as they pursue love in an age of arranged marriages and complicated family dynamics and finances.  Hamill's version includes a great deal of slapstick comedy and modern flourishes, while keeping characters in their period and language.  This piece, one of the most produced plays in the country over the past two years, gives audiences who love the original version a chance to reconnect - and invites those with no prior connection to the novel, into a great evening of laughter, plot twists, physical comedy and giddy romance.  It is highly accessible to a wide audience, while remaining true to Austen's original intent.

"Hamill's Pride and Prejudice has fun and charm to spare ... full of high spirits and genuine mirth ..."
