As It Is in Heaven, by Arlene Hutton, was a sellout production (with added performances) at Heartwood in 2012, performed in the atrium at Skidompha Library.  Set in a Kentucky Shaker Community, in the 1830's, As It Is in Heaven peers into a "utopian" existence in a time when things were certainly much simpler ... only to find that complications existed, even there, even then.  As It Is in Heaven asks universal and timeless questions about the nature of community and leads the audience to a conclusion both satisfying and inspiring.  

The rapid bonding of this all female cast of 9 has been extraordinary ...
