HYPE!
HYPE! (Heartwood Youth Performance Ensemble) is an after-school performance group that will allow students grades 5 - 9 to perform in a dedicated, trained ensemble. HYPE! will provide a safe, productive and supportive atmosphere for students. The 20-member ensemble will represent the youthful face of Heartwood's mission.
We focus on vocal training, developing a comfortable stage presence, uniļ¬ed movement and dance, and the essential importance of ensemble work. Material will include Broadway tunes, popular music, movement pieces set to music and text. Performances will include limited solo work, as well as the incorporation of physical theater, instruments, etc. No auditions are necessary, unless initial signups dictate otherwise.
